DIGITAL COMMERCE

DIGITAL ASSET MARKETPLACE

PROJECT SUMMARY

Digital asset marketplaces created a new problem for everyday users. People could buy, sell, and trade digital items, but the process introduced unfamiliar ideas such as wallets, ownership, rarity, cryptocurrency, and blockchain transactions.

The challenge was not simply building a marketplace. People needed to understand what they were buying, what they owned, how the transaction worked, and whether they could trust it. JPDESIGN helped shape a marketplace experience that made these complex steps easier to follow.

OUR APPROACH

We started with the points most likely to create confusion or mistrust. Research and workshops explored how people understood digital ownership, transactions, wallets, and cryptocurrency.

From there, the team designed the experience around a few simple questions:
• What am I looking at?
• What do I own?
• What will happen if I continue?
• Can I trust this transaction?

The product flows connected browsing, asset details, wallet activity, conversion, ownership, and transaction confirmation. The goal was to make the technology visible when people needed it and quiet when they did not.

RESULTS

The project produced a marketplace experience that connected digital asset discovery, ownership, wallet functions, trading, and transaction security in one product model.

More important for JPDESIGN's current direction, the project reinforced a design principle that becomes even more important with NFT/Cryptocurrency: When a system takes a complex action, people need to understand the state, evidence, consequence, and confirmation before they proceed.

That is the same trust problem vertical AI products must solve.
