SCREEN CREDITS AND WORKFLOW PLATFORM

PROJECT SUMMARY

ShowboxTV Productions needed a better way to manage screen credits, legal documents, approvals, and reporting. Important information lived across different files and steps. Teams had to find the right record, confirm details, manage approvals, and prepare reports without one clear source of truth.

JPDESIGN worked with the team to rethink the workflow around one central product. The goal was not simply to create another dashboard. It was to give people one place to find the facts, understand the status of the work, and move each item toward approval. The project also explored how AI and machine learning could reduce manual data work while keeping people involved in review and approval.

OUR APPROACH

We started by understanding how the credits team actually worked.

We mapped where information came from, who needed it, where approvals slowed down, and which tasks people repeated by hand. That helped separate the real workflow problem from the screen design problem.

The team then designed a shared system around three needs:
• One source of truth. Records, documents, and metadata needed to stay connected.
• Clear workflow status. People needed to know what was complete, what was missing, and what required review.
• Less manual work. Repeated data processing and reporting were strong candidates for automation.

Research, workflow mapping, prototypes, and testing helped turn those needs into a product model. AI-supported processing was explored where it could organize data and prepare reports, while review and approval stayed visible to the people responsible for the outcome.

RESULTS

The work led to a Screen Credits Single Source of Truth application that connected records, metadata, documents, and reporting in one workflow. AI-supported data processing and report generation reduced repeated work, while linked metadata made information easier to find and review. UX measures were also defined so the product could continue to improve after launch.

This project established a pattern that now shapes JPDESIGN's vertical AI work: Gather the evidence → organize the information → automate repeatable work → show the result → keep human approval clear.
